Drilling Program Advances Understanding of Gold System at Delta Amacuro Project in Venezuela
Mashwa Minerals Limited's project Delta Amacuro Project in Venezuela is ‘shaping up to be a potentially significant gold system', says Mr. Philip Waterman, Director of Projects at Mashwa Minerals Ltd.
The Alberta based mining company recently completed a 30-hole drill program at this project with 14 of the 15 assay results reported to date intersecting 'significant mineralization'.
Highlights included drill holes MM-0918-26, which intersected over 5 meters grading just over 32 grams gold per ton and MM-0934-26, a 250-meter step-out to the west of MM-0918-26, returning just under 25 meters grading over 7 grams gold per ton.
"The latest round of drilling has led to a much better understanding of the gold system," said Philip Waterman.
"These initial drill results are very exciting, with the high-grade gold intercepts indicating the presence of a robust mineralized system beneath. The drilling has also greatly improved our understanding of the orientation of the gold-bearing structures at the project."
Discovered during an initial 15-hole drill program in late 2025, following nearly two years of property-wide systematic regional exploration, these new findings lie within an area of no known mineral occurrences or historical drilling. The discovery hole, MM-0901-26, intersected nearly 30 meters grading well over 5 grams gold per ton.
The latest drilling comprised step-outs from this initial drill program. This has delineated approximately 550 meters of mineralization along a vein corridor called V-0918-01, which remains open to the east, west, and down dip.
Regarding the recent drill results, said Philip Waterman, "We weren't just lucky with our first pass drill program last year at the projects as we continue to intercept high grade gold mineralization and, most importantly, we're now defining the structural controls of the system."
"As exploration has advanced, we've defined a footprint covering an area of over two kilometers by nearly 500 meters that hosts high-grade mineralization along multiple structures," Philip Waterman concluded.
The company expect to have available further test results confirmed in quarter 4.
